From the laboratory to industry

Beijing Zhongke Guoguang Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. ('GGQUANTA') was founded in 2021 by a team of Ph.D. graduates from the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC), and is China's first photonic quantum chip provider.

With quantum-chip technology at its core, GGQUANTA spans four directions — quantum communication, quantum measurement, quantum computing, and AI — driving breakthroughs on major quantum products and opening a "quantum chips + AI" path that carries quantum technology from the laboratory into industry.

The company keeps setting industry firsts: a vacuum-noise quantum random number chip that resists power-ripple and other side-channel attacks, China's first quantum codec & modem chip, and a room-temperature single-photon detector array chip — a deep moat of core technology.

GGQUANTA holds 80+ granted invention patents — solution- and chip-level — across quantum key distribution, quantum random numbers, single-photon radar, and ion traps, among the most in China. Its products serve government, defense, power, energy, and finance, winning multiple national and provincial flagship projects.

The company is certified as a Beijing Innovative SME, a National High-Tech Enterprise, and a Beijing "Specialized & Sophisticated" SME, and sits as a member or standing director of the National Cryptography Standards Committee, CAICT's quantum cryptography standards group, the National Information Security Association, and the Beijing Communications Association.

      Successfully developed the vacuum-noise quantum random number chip, capable of effectively resisting side-channel attacks.

    • 2023.08

      Launched quantum-resistant algorithm applications capable of defending against both traditional cryptographic attacks and quantum attacks.

    • 2023.10

      China's first quantum encoding/decoding and modulation/demodulation chip was successfully developed, filling a domestic technology gap.

    • 2023.11

      Successfully developed the 'trapped-ion monitor'; the company's self-developed quantum cipher card passed evaluation by the State Cryptography Administration, receiving the first cryptographic testing report issued by the center for a quantum cipher card.

    • 2024.05

      Released an iterated version of the vacuum-noise quantum random number chip with a rate of 10GHz.

    • 2024.07

      Released an all-in-one plug-and-play 4G/5G quantum-encrypted communication module and a high-compute, low-latency quantum-resistant cloud cipher machine.

      The team published an international paper on applying quantum uncertainty to radar countermeasures.

    • 2025.01

      The national standard 'General Requirements for Device-Independent Quantum Random Number Generators' (GB/T 45240-2025), which the company helped draft, was officially released (effective August 1, 2025).

      Released four photonic quantum radar products: the water vapor monitoring radar, carbon monitoring radar, methane monitoring radar, and haze and wind field monitoring radar.

      The company took part in the 'Quantum Technology Special' of the first episode of Season 10 of 'Entrepreneurship in Anhui,' showcasing its technological achievements in quantum communication and information security.

    • 2026.02.24

      Hubei Zhongke Guoguang Quantum Technology Co., Ltd. was officially established in Wuhan as the company's national core industrialization base, fully carrying out R&D, production, marketing, and demonstration application operations.

      Successfully developed a 1572nm frequency-stabilized high-power laser, supporting high-precision carbon monitoring applications across multiple fields.

    • 2026.04

      Announced nearly RMB 100 million in Series A financing, led by Weide Information (688171.SH), with follow-on investment from Xinhualian Group and others.

    • 2026.05

      Announced completion of a Series A+ financing round of tens of millions of RMB, led by Jinguan Electric (688517).

    • 2026.05

      Officially released the world's first AI-driven intelligent quantum computing experiment platform covering the entire quantum research workflow.

      Officially launched the multi-agent operating system for quantum computing — QuantaMate OS.

FOUNDER & CHAIRMAN

BSc–PhD, University of Science and Technology of China. Adjunct project lead at Zhejiang University and director of its Huzhou Institute's Quantum Sensing & Intelligent Systems center; head of the Beijing quantum-security applications working group; Anhui technology leader and May Fourth Medal laureate; one of 2022's ten outstanding figures in China's ICT industry; fellow of the American Academy of Artificial Intelligence. Among China's earliest pioneers of quantum-communication industrialization, he has led multiple national and international firsts.
